In Beverly Hills there is a castle called Greystone. Looming above Sunset Boulevard like a medieval fortress, this Roaring Twenties mansion and its oil-soaked grounds stand as a monument to one of the great rags-to-riches-to-disgrace stories in America: the Teapot Dome Scandal. I'd like to think I will one day go from rags to riches. I've already been disgraced.
Yesterday I took a drive through Beverly Hills. Ever have one of those moments where you dont have your camera ready? I was at a stop light on Rodeo Drive and Jerry Springer walked in front of my truck on the crosswalk. I gave a little tap to my horn and scared him. I waved and he smiled and waved back and he continued on. I felt like shouting, "JERRY!! JERRY JERRY!!!"
I can't believe I paid $400 for two tires today. Well, I guess if I want to get to nice places like this, you have to pay for such luxury. This is at Crystal Cove in Southern California, just north of Laguna Beach.
The rest of America enjoying Winter while we here
in SO CAL enjoying the fruits of temptation.... Strawberries.
When life seems to have it's dry spells I get inspiration from walking around Balboa Island in California.
My first entry in this blog dated February 22, 2006. Welcoming people from all over the world to see the life of SYKO TOM as he makes his way through the world with photos taken from his camera phone. Sit down, savor some java, and enjoy. This first photo was a sunset picture taken in Santa Monica, California. As you can see I was at the end of my rope.
