The Immigration Argument

The Great American Boycott May 1,2005
"On May 1, we are calling No Work, No School, No Sales, and No Buying, and also to have rallies around symbols of economic trade in your areas (stock exchanges, anti-immigrant corporations, etc.) to protest the anti-immigrant movements across the country."

Hmmmmm...... This should be interesting.

Yes to every married guy in the world who can't get a word in edge wise.
OH their's a book out for that to men are from mars, and women are from Uranus......

I would like to suggest if everyone bought american products ,and used things produced in this country ,the preasure would be so great on this work force that, this would all go away.
I bet no one ever looked at that way ,did they.

I would like to warn everybody this is now a world market for work, not just products, these products can be made any where, hence their goes your job.
If think you can roll up your sleeves and work along those immigrants for 12 to 14 hrs a day with no breaks ,and no insurance ,then keep supporting forgien markets,in the mean time call your congressperson, tell them the immigrants are part of what America is all about.
Moving forward..........

I'm kind of confused about this whole immigration debate. Businesses that hire illegals tend not to offer health insurance, and illegal immigrants don’t qualify for most government programs. So when they become sick or injured they take the only route available to them, and head to the nearest emergency room. Hospitals are required by federal law to provide emergency care regardless of patients’ visa status or ability to pay, and thus there is a net drain in healthcare resources ($2.5 billion a year, according to Census Bureau data). Prisons and schools are also foundering under their weight.
At the same time, other governmental programs actually benefit from the presence of illegal immigrants – particularly Social Security and Medicare. Because most immigrants are young and able to work (and thus pay taxes), they pour far more into these programs than they will likely ever get out.
Ultimately, the true cost-benefit ratio behind illegal immigration is so complex that determining it is nearly impossible. But one thing is certain: Not determining it will prove most costly of all.
