This is very true. In an earthqake a typical brick/cinder block building (with no rebar) can be a death trap. It's like being inside a life-sized house of cards and having someone shake the table (only falling bricks will hurt WAYYYYY more than falling paper cards).
Yikes... I feel so much safer with all these thoughts in mind. During an Earthquake, I will be hiding in the SYKO CAFE. Thanks for stopping by. :-P
