Sad brief story Tom. Many people take their parents for granted, thinking that they will always be there. This is a great time to remember everything that mothers do for us. Even if we disagree with them, in most cases, they do what they do our of love for their children. Great post.
I know you've told me this story and I still am sad. I'm glad your grandma picked up the pieces for you. Hunter is too young to understand, but then again, if he had a dad, maybe then he'd understand. i'm one of the luckiest moms in the world because i get 2 holidays..........mother's day AND father's day. yay
